There are currently two veterans outreach social workers employed by the Department of Veterans Assistance, whose role is to ensure that veterans throughout the state receive the services they need. These individuals travel West Virginia communities on a daily basis, providing information, support and guidance to individuals in need of medical care, homeless shelters, and a myriad of other services.
